- The 15/16" Prelude XL Fire Guard Grid System features main beams with a patented thermal expansion relief notch to help maintain structural integrity of the ceiling to meet code requirements. These main beams can be installed with our standard Prelude cross tees, wall molding, and appropriate ceiling panels for residential code applications. They may also be paired with Textured Fire Guard ceiling panels (915) and XL8300 series cross tees to achieve fire-resistant UL ratings.
